Welcome to The Cosmopolitan Hotel
Your hosts Tim and Jane Fleming welcome you to The Cosmopolitan Hotel which is situated at the junction of Middlegate and Durham Street in old Hartlepool - these days called The Headland. The hotel and public house has two bar areas. In the lounge, which has plenty of seating for bar meals and snacks, there is a small stage for live entertainment and full use of television for all the live sporting action. Do also check our Events page as we do feature live acts in the main lounge from time to time. Our public bar has a pool table and dartboard which are very popular. There is also access from both bars to our picturesque beer garden with plenty of seating facilities.
Come and visit our haunted pub on your trip to the historic headland in Hartlepool and why not pop in to sample some of our famous food and stay in one of our spooktastic bedrooms! For details on our rooms, menus, bookings and other events, please call us. We have five rooms available seven-days a week with special discounts for contractors who are working in the area from Monday to Friday. We now have Wi-Fi available in the rooms and bar areas so why not come and enjoy your favourite beverage or sample our new food menus and carry on with your internet needs in comfortable surroundings. If you are a visitor to the area you may have heard of the legendary story about the hanging of the monkey - so why not ask our friendly staff to explain all about it whilst enjoying one of our traditional beers or lagers or why not follow this link - Hartlepool Monkey - to read all about it.
